The truth is, I never wanted to become an Arch-Knight. That was always fathers vision. But what else am I supposed to do if mothers murderer just gets to walk free? Where’s the justice in that? There is only one way to catch a monster. You must become a monster.

That’s why I’m here. There is no greater monster throughout the entire Rathmian Empire than an Arch-Knight. Only the most talented nobles of each generation are offered a chance to enlist. What we are talented in doesn’t matter so long as it can benefit the entire team. Of course, enlisting is one thing. Graduating is another.

Unlike other branches of the Army, the Arch-Knight’s don’t care how many enlistees die before graduation. If you can’t pull your weight, then you are already dead. Better to die now than on the mission. At least here someone will know your name. At least here your body will make it home.
